'WATCH' OUT FOR HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA
Hotel Transylvania, or Hotel T, as I like to call it is just one word - wait for it, wait for it...
Seriously, AWESOME sums up the powerful, fun, funny, entertaining, musical and witty storyline that was served on screen that day. It was purely an hour and forty-five minutes of animated pleasure!
You know, monster stories can be a tad over-told but to be able to make this one so interesting, you really need to salute the director and writer. The story is simple and "cartoons" are usually predictable, but what made up for this was the characters' antics and the entertaining dialogues.
Adam Sandler voiced Dracula who built a Hotel to protect his daughter and other monsters from humans. However, his daughter is trying desperately to see the world and explore what is out there. All problems started when a human managed to find his hotel.
All of the voice-over talents did an excellent job in bringing out real emotions but at the same time, making every action of the characters hilarious!
My favourite character is the boy, Jonathan, voiced by Andy Samberg. I think Samberg brought out Jonathan's character very well, as the cool dude. In most parts, I think his voice were so brilliant that he made the character very real, although the animations were quite over the top.
I suggest everyone to watch this one if you need to chill and relax to an entertaining show.
Sandler's movie are always served with strong themes as side dish. The theme in Hotel T is less visible but not at all invisible. The main theme is to not discriminate people who are different or termed as 'monsters' in the society. On the other side of the book, we should not be afraid of what is out there just because we encounter one bad or negative experience.
Extra marks given to the brilliantly written and fun track that ended the movie.
I've learned a new word "Zing" that night.
To find out what it mean...well, watched it!
I zinged with Hotel T too!
TC-My Ratings:
