DRIVING DOWN MEMORY LANE

Driving down memory lane
Looking at our old house with faded paint
On a street once filled with the sounds of bicycle chains

Driving down memory lane
Reminiscing the good old days
I remembered us playing under the rain
It's a beautiful corner house they say

Driving down memory lane
I remembered those times crying on the swing
In my room I'd dance and sing
In that house, I had everything

Driving down memory lane
On the red sofa I would lay
And watch my TV everyday
Being a couch potato, in every way

Driving down memory lane
At the dining table, I'd study
Fool around with my buddies
Eat the junk food that's ever ready

Driving down memory lane
We'd have cousins over
Aunts and uncles gather
The party place for Chinese New Year

Driving down memory lane
We'd joke about the boy who sold chicken rice
That to my sister, he is nice
Who knows where their future lies

Driving down memory lane
A place filled with too many memories
In it's own way, it was luxury
For it was the heart of the joys and my family

This is to remember our Pengkalan house which is no longer ours after my parents sign the paper in two days. We will miss the good times we have there - our swing, and the patches of grass where we can play around. We will miss the large living room, the big kitchen, my awesome room, and the 24-hour mamak across the road.

What we won't miss is the chores hahaha - cleaning of the drains, painting the automatic gate and of course, house cleaning was worst back then (not that I contributed much). Oh, we will also not miss climbing the stairs hahaha.

  1. quick! there's still time to hire an international team of ninjas to make your house disappear so you parents cant sign off the house to someone else! :p
