THE PACKAGE WITHIN

The package came

It looks good on the outside

And everyone wants to keep it that way

It was too beautiful 

To be wasted away

Peeled off 

Into shattered pieces

We all see what's on the outside

And believed that the inside would be as good

As beautiful

But if one had bothered to open the package

Who knows what one will find

A few pieces of worthless rocks?

Or priceless gems?

Everyone chooses the beautiful box

But they don't know what lies within

They got tricked and fooled

But the price is theirs to pay

But there's always an untouched one

One that is far less attractive

That contains a diamond...

And that's for the wise to take

For the wise to keep

And for the wise to find...

The package was opened

And you realised

What is inside is not what it is outside

You end up with a rotten egg

Stinking tomatoes
