EVERYBODY LOVES THEIR CHICKEN FRIED

Today is thanksgiving day and essentially, thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for all our blessings. I do think that we should give thanks daily, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to specially express my gratitude for all I have. I am a blessed kid and there is no doubt about that. I have great parents, awesome friends, and a super cool job. There is really nothing more I can ask for.

Sometimes, we fail to see how blessed we are when our eyes are blinded by stress and all the frustrations in life. I always believe that for me, it is the simple things that make me most happy and most grateful and so, I never really need expensive things or branded stuff to make me happy. Great people and friends make my day, always!

There is this song that I really enjoy because the lyrics talk about how the things in life are the best and they make us most happy. I resonate that.

Zach Brown Band writes some of the best country songs. This is my second favourite song by them after "Free".

You know I like my chicken fried (ya me too)
Cold beer on a Friday night (not so much a beer person but I could do coffee or wine)
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up (yes!)
I like to see the sunrise (more of a sunset person)
See the love in my woman's eyes (man for me please)
Feel the touch of a precious child (of course, they are cute!)
And knows a mother's love (so blessed to have my mum!)

Well I was raised up beneath the shed of a Georgia pine
And that's home you know
Sweet tea, pecan pie and and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow
And my house it's not much to talk about
But it's filled with love
That's grown in Sourthern ground

And a bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And knows a mother's love

(This is my favourite verse)

It's funny how it's the little things in life that means the most
Not where you live or what you drive
Or the price tag on your clothes
There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind
This I've come to know
So if you agree, have a drink with me
Raise your glasses for a toast

To a little bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And knows a mother's love

I thank God for my life (everyday I do)
For the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly
Let it ring
Salute the ones who died
The ones that give their lives
So we don't have to sacrifice all the things we love

p/s: Happy with all I got
